Tanveer Hussain joins PDP

Mehbooba welcomes, says he has capability to work for the party

Jammu, Dec 8: A prominent Political activist, Tanveer Hussain on Friday joined Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in presence of the Party President and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti who was there along with her party colleagues Peerzada mansoor Hussain and Youth PDP President, Waheed ur Rehman Parra.

Tanveer Hussain, has participated in electoral processes and contested parliamentary elections in March 2013 from the South Kashmir’s Anantnag constituency. He also contested the assembly elections from Shangus constituency of Anantnag district.

Welcoming her into the party fold, Mehbooba congratulated and said that Tanveer-has the capability to work for the party and for the overall development of the state. PDP president while welcoming the new entrant in PDP, also said that the youth is the future of our state who can shoulders the responsibilities of bringing a revolution to end up culture of nepotism and favoritism.

She further added that Tanveer Hussain will play an important role to play in building peace, prosperity in Jammu & Kashmir.

Peerzada Mansoor, while congratulating the Tanveer said that the youth is the future of our party and Tanveer can play important role to build the party structure and strengthen the Party at grass-root level.

Meanwhile, Tanveer was also streering committee member of planning commission in 12th 5th year plan in Government of India in year 2010.

He has also worked in national and international level for peace building measures and developmental sector through different international organizations including Amnesty international and frontline defender.

PDP Youth President Waheed Ur Rehman Parra welcomed Tanveer and said his contribution for the party will go on a good and long way. (KNS)
