Srinagar records coldest night this year, freezes at minus 3.7 C

Srinagar: Srinagar witnessed the coldest night of the season this year as temperature dropped down to minus 3.7 degrees Celcius, while Leh recorded the coldest temperature in J&K at minus 12, the Met said.
“The present cold wave conditions are likely to continue till Wednesday as the weather is expected to remain dry,” a weather official said.
The night’s lowest temperature in Pahalgam and Gulmarg were minus 4.1 and minus three, respectively.
In Jammu city it was 8.7, while it was 8.8 in Katra, 4.2 in Batote, 0.2 in Bannihal and two degrees Celsius in Bhaderwah.
