Trooper injured in petrol bomb attack in Srinagar

Srinagar, Nov 27: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan received minor injured in a petrol bomb attack in downtown Srinagar, where curfew-like restrictions were imposed since early Monday morning.
Official sources said that unidentified miscreants hurled a petrol bomb at CRPF personnel deployed to implement restriction imposed at Safakadal in downtown Srinagar.
They said a jawan received minor burn injuries in the attack, adding the miscreants managed to escape.
The injured was immediately taken to a hospital, where he was discharged after receiving first aid.
Curfew-like restrictions were imposed in the downtown, Shehar-e-Khas (SeK) and areas falling under two police stations in the civil lines and old city since early Monday morning following strike called by separatists against the alleged ill treatment of Kashmiri detenues in jails within and outside the state.
