Delhi High Court refuses to pass order on PIL seeking action against Farooq Abdullah

New Delhi: Delhi High Court Tuesday refused to pass order on PIL seeking action against National Conference President and Member Parliament Dr Farooq Abdullah over his alleged remarks on Pakistan administered Kashmir (PaK).

The High Court asked petitioner, seeking action against Abdullah, to move the Centre on the matter; the Court asked Centre to look into it.

The High Court  said “It is not expressing any opinion on the plea against Abdullah and Centre should take an independent view”.

Pertinently, Farooq’s remarks about PaK had created controversy and a PIL was submitted in Delhi HC seeking action against him.
