3 JeM militants held in Budgam: Police

Srinagar, Nov 19: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday said that it arrested three militants of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) outfit in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
In a statement here a police spokesman said that acting on a specific input about the movement of militants in Budgam town, a joint Naka (checkpoint) was established by Budgam police, 53 RR and 43 Bn CRPF at Chadoora-Budgam road.
During the naka checking, a suspicious vehicle was spotted and when security forces signaled it to stop, one of the militant tried to lob grenade but the security personnel acted swiftly and apprehended him along with two other militants. They were identified as Mohammad Maqbol Malla and Gowher Ahmad both from Bandzoo and Azad Ahmad Lone from Lelhar, Kakapora of Pulwama district, he added.
One pistol, one SLR and three hand grenades were seized from their possession, the spokesman said.
